What is 7v7 Football?

7v7 football is a fast-paced, non-contact version of the game designed to develop passing, route running, coverage skills, and overall football IQ. It gives athletes the opportunity to get more reps, make quicker decisions, and compete in a high-tempo environment that directly translates to success during the tackle season.

At Transcend Sports Performance, our 7v7 program is built to help athletes grow β€” not just as players, but as competitors who understand the game and play with confidence.

Athletes who want to improve, compete, and be part of a team environment that challenges them. Whether sharpening skills, gaining game experience, or continuing to develop in the offseason β€” 7v7 provides that opportunity.

Season Overview

Our season runs primarily through February and March, competing in approximately 7–8 tournaments β€” most in the Metro Atlanta area. January pre-season prepares athletes physically and mentally for competition.

Nick Murphy

Nick is the 7v7 Football Director at Transcend Sports Performance. A Dawsonville native, he played football at Dawson County High School before continuing his career at Mount St. Joseph University as a wide receiver. Nick has been coaching football at Dawson County since 2020, working with the varsity program and serving as a middle school offensive coordinator. He also brings multiple years of 7v7 experience, helping athletes develop their skills, compete with confidence, and better understand the game. What to Expect

Season Schedule

Pre-Season β€” January

Athletes train twice per week to prepare physically and mentally for competition. Focus is on fundamentals, conditioning, and building team chemistry before the season begins.

In-Season β€” February & March

Practices shift to once per week, typically Thursday evenings, allowing athletes to stay sharp while balancing school and other commitments.

Tournaments β€” Weekends

Held on Saturdays and Sundays, consisting of multiple games in a single day. Schedules are typically released 1–2 days prior to each event.

  • Flexibility is standard across all 7v7 organizations

Additional Opportunities β€” April

Depending on team performance, national qualifications, and parent/player availability, there may be opportunities to compete in additional April tournaments.
